Had some issues at first after installing but Barista Gadgets was great and quick to help me sort everything out and provided some good troubleshooting support. I’m not exactly shy when working on a car etc but do not have experience working on electronics, the instructions provided were simple and covered various small differences between older gaggia models and the evo pro and E24 etc. I have not messed with profiling or blooming much at all yet. Try to get the hang of just using it at 100% and getting consistent pulls. As you can see in the video my puck prep likely needs some help but just using Lavazza whole beans I’ve been able to get some very good shots with this PID. Still very much struggling with getting good milk foam but with the steam boost function I can get steam all day long, only having skill issues.

I am not mechanical and while I wouldn’t say this is an easy install, it’s not overly difficult. I was looking at this and a couple of competitors. While some of the competition can do more, they also look a lot more complicated to install and can cost quite a bit more as well. Now that it’s installed and working I’m super excited to be done temperature surfing. My only mistake was tearing up the rubber gasket where the steam wand connects with the clip. I would recommend unscrewing the whole steam wand instead of pulling the clip. The clip on the steam wand is tricky until you realize the clip doesn’t go through both of the slots to connect the wand. It goes over the slots. It’s also possible that I’m just a moron and everyone else figures that out much easier. At the end of the day, this is a great product!
